    • Mongoose Junction has a cluster of attractive shops so does the Wharfside Village.
    You can find resort wear and hand crafted items as well as the tacky t-shirt and shell jewlery.

    I bought gifts for my family as well as for myself.

    It's the biggest grocery store in St. John.

    At Starfish Market you'll find groceries and liquors, but this market is located with some others stores, like a little mall. Don't expect to find big stores there...

    This is not just one shop, it is the out door "mall" on St. John's. It has everything a tourist could be looking for. It also houses many places to eat and to sit and relax while enjoying its setting in semi-jungle like surroundings.

    T-shirts, usual tourist items, food, island specialties (art, sculptures, customs, etc.)

    It can be a little pricey, but the stuff to buy is absolutely gorgeous.

    • Take the ferry from Cruz Bay to Charlotte Amalie and cross the street to find the best duty free shopping in the caribbean.

    You will find tourist shops, jewelry shops, liquor shops, clothing shops, linen shops, artwork and much more.

    You will pay less than mainland prices and tax free if you stay within limits.

  • Directions: Downtown Charlotte is also the cruise ship harbor. Heavy cruise ship days also means crowds downtown. No cruise ships means most shops are closed. Best to find a day with few ships in port.
