Liz wanted some authentic Caribbean food and we had heard from some locals this was an excellent place for a meal. After some serious shopping we were definitely hungry and in need of lunch. The restaurant is about two blocks off the main street. From the outside the restaurant doesn't look like much but the inside was cozy and relaxing. The place was hopping but we were seated almost immediately at a table for two. The menus had some great selections and it was hard for me to decide. The food here was incredible and the service was quick and friendly. I would definitely eat here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the island.
I ordered the Chicken and Ribs plate. It came with a choice of three sides. I chose the potato salad, the sweet potatoes and the stuffing. It was incredible good and the portion was very large. Liz had the Caribbean Lobster with mac and cheese, cole slaw and fried plantains. She loved her meal. I had some of the Lobster and it was very sweet and tender. The lobster shell was an interesting white and pink color. We washed down our meal with an coke and an iced tea. For obvious reasons the seafood is very fresh on the islands in general. Our favorite restaurant in St Thomas was the Agave Terrace located at the Point Pleasant hotel. The restaurant is located about 5 minutes north of Red Hook on the Eastern Side of the island. It was a bit pricey (most places are on the island) but it was well worth it. The waiter we had was so nice, he even let us try something before we ordered it. Also, they have a bar that over looks St. Johns. I would recommend going around sun set for an amazing site. The bar tender also makes a wicked BBC, which is a Bailey?s Banana Colada.
Well we only ate here once so I don't have a favorite but I did have the NY Strip which was pretty good and my husband had some fresh catch of the day which he liked a lot but I have to say that what I loved about this place was the view and friendly wait staff.

If you are looking for something a bit less upscale I would recommend the Green House which is located on Waterfront Drive in Charlotte Amalie. This places has a great happy hour with huge 2 for 1 drink specials and a really great surf and turf. It?s basically a good place to just relax after a hard day of shopping. One note that I was told is that not to walk around Charlotte Amalie after dark. Once the cruise ships start to head out the shops start to close and the area becomes quite dead.

No matter what time of day, or where you are... everyone loves ice cream! Although we are always up for an enjoyable ethnic food delight, Sarah and I rarely pass up the chance to have an ice cream. We were lucky enough to run into Cold Stone Creamery in Charlotte Amalie, at the Port of $ale shopping center. Stop in for a cone if you are in town! Leave a Comment

As we came in from the charter, I heard someone calling Blythe Spirit on the radio. I knew my first cousin had a boat by that name, so we called too, and found that they were in a marina in St. Thomas waiting for parts to fix their steering which had to be imported from Italy. So we met them for lunch in the restaurant next to the marina before we left to fly home and they told us all about their adventures in getting there.
We had sandwiches, but I don't remember what they were. Leave a Comment Theme: LocalComparison: about averageAddress: Crown Bay MarinaPhone: (340) 776-1595Website: http://www.tickles.vi/

Ate Thanksgiving dinner here in 2003 and had a great meal with a casual Caribbean flare…Gladys and all the lovely ladies at the café were a delight…
Gladys makes a mean homemade hot sauce that's the bomb.... Leave a Comment Theme: LocalPrice: US$21-30 » Currency ConverterComparison: about averagePhone: 774-6604Directions: Downtown Charlotte-Amalie

Great atmosphere. Beautiful stone construction with wooden accents. Bar is nice. Dining area lovely and elegant. Service is exceptional and food quality and presentation is outstanding. I've eaten there multiple times and the quality is consistent while the menu varies.
Wish I had a picture but you can see one on their inviting website. Menu included. Good wine selection as well. http://www.oldstone.rummi.com/
