I PREVIOUSLY THOUGHT THAT THE HIGH POINT OF ALBANIA WAS MT. JEZERCE, WHICH STANDS AT 8835 FEET (2693 METERS). HOWEVER, IT APPEARS THAT GOLEM KORAB (OR KOBILINO POLE) AT AN ELEVATION OF 2753 (OR 2764) METERS, WHICH ALBANIA SHARES WITH MACEDONIA, IS THE ACTUAL HIGHPOINT OF THE COUNTRY. HERE IS MENTION OF IT FROM A WEB PAGE DISCUSSING BORDER ISSUES: The border starts at the erupa mountain peak (2092 m) at border marker D24 that is a tripartite between Macedonia, Albania and Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. From there, the border goes across the mountain range Golema Korabska Vrata, then goes along the slopes of Korab and cuts through its highest peak- Kobilino Pole (2764 m). Then it goes southwards along the slopes from where it turns westwards, goes down to the village of Spas in the Debar Plain and comes to the river Crni Drim.
