Archeology
Fier is a new town only established 100 years ago. It was developed as an industrial area during the comunist period. Today it is mostly a comercial area. It has an ugly communist architecture alongside new luxury buildings. Best thing to do while in town is to take a taxy 10 miles west to the ancient site of Apollonia.
