Besa imports all its ingredients from Italy and the cook studied in Italy. There is only one word to describe the pizza's you'll eat here; DELICIOUS! Everything is made when you order and is made quick. This restaurant is a bit smaller so it can get crowded but is worth the extra noise. Don't forget to try a local wine with your pizza.
Favorite Dish: Pizza luna. This is actually a pizza they fold in half to make a calzone and it is the best.

Bar Moxhart makes everything fresh. Try their pasta, pizza or seafood dishes. This restaurant was just completely renovated and looks amazing. It's located on the 2nd floor so you can also enjoy watching people walk around while sipping on your Tirana beer or eating your fresh seafood salad. On the weekends they also have live music so don't be afraid to get up and dance a little.
Favorite Dish: Pene Moçarel (pene mozzarella) or Sallam Pikant piç (spicy salam pizza).

In 2007, we have not been to Restaurant i Gjuetisa, former Count Ciano hunting lodge. In 1989, this is where we had dinner (my Rrethu i Lezhes page). It is situated 3 km outside the city, in Ishull Lezha (the Island of Lezha). It had been damaged during the 1997 looting but has now reopened as a country hotel and restaurant. We will certainly try it on an other opportunity.

Though on on Beselidhja square, Hotel-Restaurant Uldedaj-Liss is almost hidden. Look at the first photo, with Tirana bank in the background: can you find it?
The second photo shows better the entrance, with only a sign “restaurant” over the entrance into the half underground main dining room. No name of the restaurant! That was why we made a stop in Lezha for lunch so we had to find it. Actually, we were lucky to find it easily!
The third photo shows the very cozy dining room, with a lot of wood. The lady waiter did not speak any other language than Albanian. She was very helpful and we could manage very well to order what we wanted.
As usually, the two of us shared all the dishes in order to be able to taste twice as more dishes! Unfortunately, I cannot read well the bill and I am not sure of the name of each dish.
Xhaxhik (cucumber in yaourt)
Tave Dheu
Tave Kosi
With a bottle of wine, we paid a very reasonable1250 leke (10 euro or 15 $). Everything was very tasty.
I have given the photo of our dishes under Local Customs.
