In the lower part of the village is the cimitery and this is the church near it. Look at the small cypress on the wall of the church. Locals have a legend: when the tree will die, it will be the end of the world. Hope not.
The cypress is declared a monument of nature by the government.

Address: Walk down to cemetery from the center of village
Walk around in the narrow lanes of the village to see the architecture. There are some tunnels like the one in the picture. The village constructions are interesting although not well preserved. Only these last years people are ricostructing their houses and building more rooms for tourists.

Great beach, like a huge swimming pool. One of the most beautiful in all Albanian Riviera. It's going to be more crowded from year to year, but it's still fine. There are a growing number of hotels and restaurants and two campings as far. Jal is 3 km from Vuno village (the car road). I use to walk from the village to the beach, it's fantastic although may be arduous in summer. I strongly advice walking in all this area. There are small nice beaches in walk distance from the main beach.

this is a panoramic of the village, it's builded on a mountainside. Try to hike to the top of that hill, further is the mountain of Mjegullosh, there's a great view from the top.

this is a typic street of Vuno. It must have been a very hard work to build the houses and the streets here, all those stones transported up and up in the mountain.

After the disasters at Dhermi and Himara, the decision was taken to turn around and head north again and try out the beach at Jal, which we had skipped on the journey heading south. It is not too far...
