I recently visited the Parndorf outlet shopping center and ate at the main cafeteria style food court. All the food we purchased that day was fresh and tasty. However, the entire eating area was inundated with large flies (the type usually found in barns). They literally swarmed the tables and patrons. We had to eat in such a hurry to avoid them landing on our plates that it certainly took away from any enjoyment of the food. This is disgusting and unsanitary to the point of being a health risk. Thank you.
McArthur Glen is an outlet with some 120 odd shops - mainly fashion outlets, but there are also several other shops. It sells a lot of last season's clothes - i.e. perfectly wearable but without the full price tag. Unless you come by car, you'll of course be restricted to buying what you can carry - it is a bit of a trek to the train station
What to buy: Whatever takes your fancy, although on past trips I have bought Benetton luggage, Ralph Lauren clothing, tableware, stuff for my flat.
What to pay: You can make considerable savings over the prices you would expect to pay in Vienna for the same merchandise that is not reduced.
