    Just north of Heiligenblut is the long and winding Grossglockner Hochalpenstrasse Road which takes you to the highest point you will access by car at 2,362m.

    There are many car bays along the way where many a car engine has had to cool down from the exertion of driving this high and mighty road.

    Please, please, please don't take your car to the Grossglockner, not in the height of summer anyway.

    You'll only get in the way of us bikers that are trying to enjoy ourselves on the hairpins and mountain roads! And if you go up the "bikers nest" then don't park in the marked motorcycle spaces!

    It is a motorcyclists' paradise.

    Miles and miles of tarmac ribbon. The authorities cater for bikers and even provide free lockers to put our gear when we arrive.
