Never miss the opportunity to get out of the car and walk to the water, if you like photography you will find lots of interesting view: little boats, sandy coves, piers, flowers.
Everything look peaceful and pleasant, just watch and relax.

Directly across from Portschach on the high mountain is a tower which allows tourists to elevator up to the top for a terrific view of the valley. On most days you can see some spectacular mountains on the Slovenian side, too.
    Parking is free
The drive up is very nice
Some nice small cafes and restaurants on the way out of Klagenfurth and along lake
    Elevator fee is reasonable
    Free telescopes up there
See my video for a short view from this tower of lake and then down to Maria Worth

This restaurant is part of hotel Dermuth, along the main street of the village.
It have a nice decor, is very clean and the weiters are very professional, I would reccomend it for a pleasant romantic dinner.

Favorite Dish: We had a mixed salad from the buffet, pork tenderlion served with noodles and a Madras curry turkey served with rice. With water and some red hose wine the bill was 47 euros for two people in 2009.
    The food was very good.
