Café Wien is a Viennese coffee shop and it is located inside the service area. They have some good pastries and coffee. And nevertheless the architecture is very interesting .....
Favorite Dish: When I am there, I have a "Apfelstrudel" with a "melange" (that a mocca with milk and cream). For me the Apfelstrudel is one of the best..... :-))

Come here for a picnic! We will go to the small house high above in the vineyard. There is a big table and space enough for 8-10 people. We vintners meet each year here for a picnic. Everyone brings their food and their wines.
We can also meet here for a VT-PICNIC ... What do you thing about this idea?

When going from Vienna to Budapest or Budapest to Vienna on the A4 (Ostautobahn) motorway, make a stop at the "Göttlesbrunn-Arbesthal" service area. I recommend you that not because of the food, but also because it was built by an artist. His name is Gottfried Kumpf and he lives in Burgenland. He is a famous painter.

Favorite Dish:
In the last years the food was not as good as the food of Austria´s biggest chain of service area restaurants, "Rosenberger". But the "Tourast" chain have been in the hands of the italian "Autogrill" for a few years and the food became better. I come here sometimes to have a "Gulasch" with a "Ottakringer"-beer. Try this, it´s really good... and typical austrian!

Göttlesbrunn - my hometown. I live here since I was born. It is located about 30 km eastly from the austrian capital Vienna and you will pass it when going to Budapest in Hungary.
