Horn Things to Do

  • WALK THE HISTORIC CENTRE

Walking is the best way to see Horn. The historic centre is quite compact, and has three Churches of varying ages. The Town square has some nice buildings, one with sgraffito and statues on the top of the building. I found a fountain, a plague column and shops to browse. The town also has town walls, ancient towers and three gates. Quite a pleasant...

  • PARISH CHURCH OF ST. GEORGE

I like this church which is in the heart of the town and dedicated to my country's patron saint. This church is located in the main square and was built as a protestant church in 1593. The tower was finalized in a late romantic style at the end of the 18th century. The stone doors near the tower date back to the renaissance period and the south...

If you find yourself here with time to spare then why not go and visit one of the castles, stately homes or museums in the area. I recommend Rosenburg Castle which is just to the south of Horn. Please see my Rosenburg pages for further details.....
