A story tells as follows: When Haydn came back from his triumphant journey to England, he should have kissed the gate of this birthplace. Although he left this house with 6 years, he never forget its roots.

Favorite thing: At the beginning of the village stand the Schloss Harrach, which was built in baroque style. I don´t know when it was built exactly. The Harrachs, which where diplomats and ambassadors during the Habsburg Empire, used it as their residence for a long time.
Fondest memory: In this time they collected hundreds of masterpieces from famous dutch, italian and spanish painters and it became the biggest private collection in Austria and one of the most meaningful in the whole world.
