The Marbleroom is another great room with wonderfull ornaments on the ceiling and a floor, totally covered by marble - quite expensive and unique for a castle built in the 16th century.
This room may be rented as well for private parties and is also used for concerts at special dates.

Take a closer look to the great wooden ceiling of the library.
All rooms of the castle may be rented for your festivities, weddings, birthday-parties ect.
Just imagine to celebrate your event within such historic walls !

The most precious and beautiful part of the library is certainly the wooden ceiling with great ornaments and paintings.
I took this pic with my extreme wide-angle-lens of 17mm - that way the edges are rounded a bit, but at least you see the whole ceiling on one pic, when you click on it !

Falconry-performances may be watched in the 1st court as well at special times at the weekends from may till October.
Better check on the web-page below, as these performances will not take place every weekend.
I was there at such an event, but I have to admit, I never liked that kind of performance very much.

The first court of the castle was used already during the medieval times for the tournaments of the knights, and a few years ago this tradition was renewed and so they have different festivities there each year at special dates.
In june 7th-9th,2003 there was a "Historisches Burgtreiben" ( Historic festivity ) with actors in old costumes etc.
entrance-fee for the festivity was 14,- € for grown-ups & 30,- € for the whole family.

When you see the castle from the village, you will not see more that about 10 percent of the ground that the castle covers.
When you arrive at the parking on top, you will see, what a big terrace and garden was built behind the castle.

The castle Rosenburg ( "castle of the roses ") was built originally in the 12th century, on top of a rock, high above the village.
The small river Kamp also flows around 2 sides of the rock and added some more strategic power to the castle.

The library of Rosenburg is certainly one of the most beautiful rooms of the castle.

During the 16th century the castle of Rosenburg was rebuilt into a great Rennaissance-castle.
Today's owner of the castle is the family HOYOS - they own the castle since 1681.
