First in the early morning a walk through the old city Traismauer made. Then along the river Trais back to the Danube river. Decided was to continue the route along the southern bank to Vienna. The part to Zwentendorf is free monotonous, straight to the dike. Only the passage along the Kraftwerk Altenwörth gave some variety. Beyond Zwentendorf was what varied by a wooded area. In the town of Tulln some shopping for a picnic. Anyway a nice town with a medieval city wall with towers. In the center many houses in Gothic and Renaissance style. The city also has a reputation of the finest rose gardens in Austria. So reason enough to visit the city. After visiting the city continue on the south bank along Greifenstein with its castle and kraftwerk. After the passage of Greifenstein is the route not more so beautiful. A number of industrial sites and bedraggled neighborhoods are passed. Only Klosterneuburg is still interesting. It is clear that the last part of the Danube route is not the best. It was an extra long ride today. By mistake, the drive runs out to 77 km. But after 6 days and 361 km, we reached Vienna. We have only one conclusion, it was a fantastic tour and to recommend any lover.
