Bad Ischl has the best transportation connections in the entire Salzkammergut region, so there's a good chance you'll end up here at some point. The train station is located on the eastern edge of town near the tourist information center. You can also catch buses here, but there is another bus terminal just a short walk north of here on Voglhuber-Strasse. I arrived by bus from St. Wolfgang (I transferred at Strobl) and the short trip only cost 3.10 Euros.
