It is quite a typical small local Gasthaus claiming to host the smallest professional microbrewery in the world. If you ask for the brewery you will be told that it is not at the place but in the cellar of the owner.
You may even visit the brewery. A guided tour plus a Weisswurst snack and beer tasting costs 9 EUR. Call ahead if you are interested in a visit.
In the Gasthaus you get mainly typical local dishes and the best is to drink their own beer. It is an unfiltered Weissbier and very tasty.
Favorite Dish: I had - it was announced as "für den kleinen Hunger" (for the little hunger) - "einen halben Meter Bratwurst" (half a meter Bratwurst) which had been alone fairly enough for the "little" hunger but it came with a lot of Sauerkraut and potatoes able to feed at least two. I got it down with a lot of the excellent Weissbier.
Hitler had an other diet because he was not surely Aryan but Vegetarian. He was also in other respects not really typical for Braunau, his origins were further north in the Mühlviertel close to the Czech border. Therefore Hindenburg used to speak about Hitler as "Böhmischer Gefreiter" (Czech sergeant).

I really wondered to see a restaurant with this name right opposite the Hitler house.

Favorite Dish: I was not in it, because I had just half a meter Bratwurst at Bogner and even if I had any need of food or drink a sorts of hidden "political correctness" had kept me from entering. At other places I had no problems with this name, of course.
