 | Fucking Things To Do | Tips 1 - 10 of 14 | | Popular Things To Do | Miscellaneous Things To Do Tips | All Tips (14) Everybody coming to Fùcking (if you click to this link you will be rejected - you see, even the links here are censored, you can overrun this censorship by replacing the automatically appearing *** in the address by the real four censored characters after the address has appeared in the address line and you will get to the site) wants to document this with a couple of pics of the roadsigns. So did we. We thought that the Fúcking locals are used to that but suddenly an elderly guy stopped his car just aside of us while we took some of these pics and he asked us in an unfriendly voice what we are going to do here because just recently again one of the roadsigns was stolen. This was for us a hint to check the roadsigns more in detail and we found that they are much bettter fixed than it is usual for such roadsigns and on some of them even traces were visble showing that there were made violent efforts to remove (i.e. steal) the roadsign. I think the locals should take it more relaxed and sell imitations of these roadsigns as souvenirs and announce that somewhere close to the roadsigns (the original size might be too large for most of the visitors). But if you really insist to have an original you might go to the Gemeindeamt (administrative office) of Tarsdorf and ask them where they order the roadsigns - maybe the provider will make one for you - with a reflecting surface if it will happen in the dark to be hit by the headlights of a car.... Expect to pay about 400 EUR or more for it plus the costs of shipping.... I personally would neither buy nor steal it. To make pics is fun enough.... Leave a Comment |

F*ucking - NO Bad expression in German !!! This word has ABSOLUTELY NO meaning at all in German and so it was chosen already plenty of hundred years ago as a name of a group of houses of the village "Tarsdorf" - ( at halfway from Salzburg to Braunau ). In the last few years some people tried to change that name into something "less interesting for english-speaking tourists", BUT the name was left unchanged because the majority of the people living there did not want to have that name changed just because of a few crazy tourists... Park your car and have a look around, and be prepared that people, meeting you, will ask you, what you are looking for... I told 2 of them, that friends from English-speaking countries would be interested, what a village with such a strange name would look like ! They were not offended, and seemed to be used of crazy people like me, just going there in order to take pics of a sign without any meaning... ;-)) That had been in 2003, when I made my 1st visit in Fûcking. In 2006, when we had our 1st meeting in Fûcking one of the locals started to shout at us, because he thought that we would try to take home one of these sign-posts as a souvenir. He became quite friendly still, when he understood, that we are just taking pics and nothing else ! Leave a Comment Directions: These sign-posts may be found only at the beginning and end of the main-road and at one of the sidestreets. |
This house has the address "Fúcking 1". The system after which the numbers are given to the houses is obvious: The oldest Fúcking house is the Nr. 1 Leave a Comment |
In September 2006 we had a VT-meeting in Fûcking : On my main picture you may see me, Anna (Anjutka) from Russia and Lothar (lotharlerch) from Tels in Tirol. A visit in Fûcking is over quickly, as everything you may do there is to search for the 4 special and large signposts with the strange name on it. But everything has 2 sides and from the back-side this signs shows us, we are leaving that famous village... In Austria there is NO reason Not to say this word, as it has no meaning and most people will not even think a second of it's meaning in English. Please use only the right German pronounciation : FOOcking !!! Leave a Comment Directions: This small village is close to Holzoestersee / Holzöstersee - 40km north of Salzburg |
4 of these funny signs with the unusual place-name are set around only 17 houses that make the centre of the village of Fûcking and it all had started with "Fûcking Nr.1" in my 1st picture, an old wooden farmhouse that is nowadays a bit outside of the village of Fûcking, that is surrounded by the famous sign-posts. Leave a Comment Directions: In order to find this old house of Fûcking #1 you have to drive the road from Ernsting to Geretsberg and take the side-road to the right, where "Waffen Auer" is also going to. |
I arrived at night and made my first pics with a tripod in the light of my car . Maybe that is not really a good idea, as the houses of the village are rather close to the signs, and according to the infos, I read somewhere on the internet, people try to steal these signs from time to time, and so they might get the feeling, someone is trying to steal them again and might send the dog after you ! This is what I wrote in 2003, when I came first to Fûcking. In 2006 that is even more correct, as we could not take any pics there without someone arriving by car in order to look what we are doing there... As you see from the travelogues we did a nice travel from Kissing near Augsburg passing places like Petting and Tittmoning to Fùcking. I can really recommend it. Please allow far more time for it than the 2 hours and 6 minutes which the interactive roadmap of Michelin is indicating! Far bigger than all these places is Wedding, a borough in Berlin, but strange enough it is not in the VT Database which means that VT allows travels from Kissing via Petting to Fùcking (even with a detour via Condom) but strange enough NOT to Wedding. Btw. the Michelin Interactive Roadmap tells you that it needs 6 hours and 22 minutes to come from Fúcking to Wedding. Add the 2 hours and 6 minutes to it which are needed to come from Kissing to Fúcking you see that you may even be able to do that all in one day. You may even check with the Michelin map how long it might take to come directly from Kissing to Wedding without the detour via Fúcking - just in case that you might want to do that in the sense of the most famous son of nearby Marktl am Inn.... - or maybe still more exactly in His sense: to start with Wedding and to come to Fúcking not earlier than 6 hours 22 minutes after Wedding. That is the politically most correct trip. Leave a Comment |

Many of you probably remember the once so funny F*ucking VT page built by Lothar (lotharlerch) which had more than 23000 visitors before all its original (in principle fully travel related and 100 % non-pornographic) content was deleted by The Censor. And quite some members suggestted to organize a F*ucking Member Meeting here. Last year some attempts were mmade to do so but it was obviously difficult to find a suitable time for it. The long expected meeting was on the weekend 9 - 10 September 2006. We cancelled Monday 9-11. Simply because it was too crowded in Marktl am Inn where the Pope Benedict XVI was on his tour through Bavaria visiting his Birthplace iwhich is only 15 km (less than 10 miles) from F*ucking. The VT Member Meeting was nice and funny even without the Pope! Weather was great, we did some short but nice excursions around and Waldgasthaus Lindlbauer was a nice place to stay well worth the money. Leave a Comment |

Do not expect many signposts showing the way to F*cking -the best way to find it will be to search first for Tarsdorf , because that village you will find at most maps of the area. When driving through that village, you will see one of the few signposts that has the name of Fûcking written on it (turn there to the righ, when driving north). I any case you may as well always follow the signposts for "Gasthof Lindlbauer" and will get to Fûcking as well easily. Leave a Comment Directions: Fûcking is just a few km east of Tarsdorf. Its best to follow the sign-posts for Gasthof Lindlbauer. |
