As already mentioned these roadsigns were often stolen previously - probably in order to function as weird funny souvenirs. But the locals were not that amused, of course, because the replacement of such a roadsign is not cheap. So the signs were better and better secured and one would need today heavy tools and plenty of time to "get" such a roadsign. And besides that the locals have plenty of dogs knowing their duties very well. The dog at the picture approached me quite aggressively when I stopped my car at the roadsign in order to take a pic and became only more friendly when he noticed that I had no tools and kept away from the roadsign. But think what could happen if you would approach such a roadsign during the night to try to steal it. I am sure the dog(s) would treat you in a way that you never would come to Fùcking again...
