Traveler's Paradise
As you see from the map, the province is divided into different regions that are often called after the natural names such as Salzkammergut where we stayed, Pyhrn-Eisenwurzen, Sauwald, etc. We stayed in the south-west of the province and managed to see quite a lot there including our trip to the border with Kärnten to see the Dachtein Caves and Mount Krippenstein.Linz is the province’s capital and main city. I would say all towns and cities are so to say capitals of their own small areas.This province is rich in pure water: rivers, lakes and ponds; mountains such as Hell Mountains, Dead Mountains, Hausruck and others. I wonder why they called the mountain range “Hell Mountains”. I forgot to ask. I should ask the locals next time when I visit the area!
