Pettenbach, and I didn't find a lot to see, but I did have a look at St. Benedikts Church. I was able to visit the inside of the Church, and I noticed a sketch on the outside wall. I think the Church dates to the 1400's.
The scenery from here to Kremsmunster I thought was outstanding. Fields of yellow and different types of greens in the fields, barns, small villages and the Mountains in the distance, this was one of our most pretty drives in Austria.
We depart Gmunden and are making our way to Pettenbach.
The countryside around is very rural and quite stunning, especially if you can find a hill top to view the surroundings. Amazingly, it is very different to the Mountainous terrain when we approached Gmunden. Farms, crops and Apple trees, it was a lovely drive to Pettenbach
