This small restuarant specializes in Italian food and also in Egyptian food. I never like to talk bad about a restaurant, but this is a travel tip and I must be honest. The pizza here wasn't very good. I would definitely try the Egyptian food as you may have more luck with that. We did not and perhaps if we return (that's IF), we will try the Egyptian food. Sorry I couldn't say much more.
To their credit, the restaurant was clean, and affordable.
Favorite Dish: Pizza is not worth trying.

Cafe-Konditorei Baumgartner's most unique quality is it's seating area overlooking the Traunsee. From this seating area, the visitor can enjoy a view of the Traunsee (the lake), Traunstein (the mountain), Seeschloss Orth, and the mainsquare of Gmunden. The one downside it has is that like most restaurants in Europe, smoking is allowed in all sections so you have to put up with that. Nonetheless, the desserts are excellent and the view is spectacular. With such a view, is there a better way to enjoy one's sweets?
P.S. Notice the swan-shaped dishes on the waitresses' tray?
Favorite Dish: That's a tough question as many of their desserts are excellent. If I had to pick a favorite, the Sacher Torte would be number one. The hot chocolate is especially good.
