The path is going rather steeply up at the beginning soon behind the salt mine. The climb takes about 1 hour. Afterwards you are going through wood. After another hour you will hear strengthen nois. You will find out, that the nois is produced by a wild stream. It hurtles down throught narrow valley. You wil go over creek thanks brave bridge. Then you will go comfortably down, only take care for router into glacial garden. The descent wil be rather sharp, but very interesting. You will see a lot of carst formations in glacial garden. The end of the path wil be comfortably walking tour
on river bank. If you would lucky, you see beautiful waterfall The Marriage veil. You will enter Hallstatt shortly. Good Luck.

Fun Alternatives: Alternative is to do this trip from the end. The most interesting things are shortly after the last houses of Hallstatt.

A: train is the best option: www.oebb.at in Hallstatt you have to leave the trainstation and take the boat over the lake to Hallstatt, boats come always for the trains
