If you're looking for nightlife while in Linz, you'll want to stay around the Hauptplatz area. The Hauptplatz itself isn't exactly teeming with activity, but the small sreets leading away from the Hauptplatz are home to numerous bars and some clubs. Of course, depending on the hour, you'll also have the option of enjoying a quieter evening in a restaurant there. When the lights go on, the adults play, and Linz makes sure there are plenty of places where they can do just that.
