Favorite thing: Mondsee is a great place for families to come and enjoy beach and water-related activities in a relaxed and beautiful environment. The small promenade down by the waterfront also has some grass-covered areas for children to play.

Mondsee's tourist office is just a block or so off of the main square and is open from 9am to 7pm Monday through Saturday and 9am to 1pm on Sundays during peak season. They can arrange lodging if you decide to stay in town where there are a couple hotels, a youth hostel and plenty of private rooms for rent.
