Oberfucking Travel Guide

The most funny things to see here are probably the roadsigns. Probably these signs are not as often stolen as the ones without "Ober".

But keep in mind that in German "Ober" means also "waiter" or among the playing cards the Ober is equivalent to the Queen. So you are free to make your guesses about the name of this place...

Oberfucking (and Unterfucking) are both easy to reach by car because they are close to the Autobahn connecting Linz and Wels with Passau. To reach Oberfucking from the well known Fúcking proper the car seems to be the best option. The distance is - according to the viamichelin route planner - about 80 km and can be done in one hour and six minutes. From Fúcking proper it is quite complicated to come to Oberfucking or Unterfucking by public transport. So the car seems to be the best option to do that.

To change from Oberfucking to Unterfucking or vice versa it is only a few minutes.

When I stated building the Oberfucking and Unterfucking pages I was obeying the automatized censorship watchlist and wrote Oberfúcking with an accent on the u because ***ing is a no-no word on VT at least if it is not written by VT staff (see for example VT-s reference to ***ing hotels etc.). By mistake I forgot in one case to write the u with accent and I was wondering that this remained untouched since. I can only conclude that Ober- and Unterfucking are politically correct while ***ing proper is not ;-)))

I am perfectly surprised that my entries here remain untouched by any censorship already for more than a week. In the long-time average far more than every second entry I made was deleted by The Censor within a few hours which are only because of the time shift between Central Europe and California - otherwise the deletions had even been faster. And some censorship is still automatically (in real time) done as soon as the word Fùcking proper is written.

The only explanation I have for this is that the average Americans only have some vague knowledge about Fùcking and no idea at all of the numerous delightful varieties in its environment like for example Oberfucking and Unterfucking.

Favorite thing: Despite its name (in English Upper Fùcking) it is not part of the famous village Fùcking but still it is not far from it, in the same state of Upper Austria. The same is valid for Unterfucking (in English Lower Fùcking).
