The Dachstein Ice Caves are reached via the Krippenstein Cable Car (1st stop).
A guided tour (German language only) takes you through the caves showing you the different Ice formations.
Be warned that the walk from the cable car to the entrance to the ice caves is very steep uphill and once inside the caves you will have to negotiate slippery walks and ladders, so not really suitable for very young children or the infirm.

Local restaurant and bar with bowling alley.
Specializes in fresh trout direct from its' own farm at the rear and fresh pizzas, as well as a whole range of dishes from steaks to pasta or light snacks.
Very friendly staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Used by the locals for both meals and for the bar and again very friendly people. Spent many a night and early morning here.
Favorite Dish: Great fresh trout and good steaks too.
