Steyr was the first town in Europe to get street-lights with electricity in Europe and here you may see this first electricity-plant in Steyr (it is not in use any more - but looks even more romantic that way...)

Take a walk along the Steyr-Wehrgraben - it is actually not the real river STEYR, but an artificial branch to bring the water to the power-plants and hammer-works.
In Berggasse you may see the very last remain of the former town-wall.Its just a very small house and the balcony and the gate you may walk through
have a closer look for the technique of the powerplant.you may walk into it a bit freely, but simply be careful !!!
Take a walk in Wehrgraben to the very end - its mostly a walk outside of car-trafic and a stroll besides the small side-arm of the river Steyr
