If you are planning to get souvenirs of St Wolfgang, there are some souvenir shops at the town centre area near to the White Horse Inn for you to shop around. If you want souvenirs which bear the name of St Wolfgang, it is better to buy it here because it will most likely not be available in Salzburg or elsewhere. The same goes for other towns in Austria.

St. Wolfgang is salt mining country and the biggest evidence of that is the tourists that flock to the mines for tours and to buy salt-related products. This shop near the main square is full of such products most of which claim to have medicinal and health benefits that I cannot verify. However, the bath salts and other various spa-type products are sure to make great gifts from St. Wolfgang.

This place has an amazing selection of high-priced soap items and it makes for a good gift buying destination in St. Wolfgang. Buying a bar of soap for a friend, even expensive soap, isn't going to break your bank. It also makes your bag smell better if that annoying customs agent decides to search your bag.
What to buy: All kinds of soap in every imaginable color and fragrance.

There were some lovely little shops in the village. Quite expensive but very nice. There was one lovely shop that had lots of lovely cuckoo clocks in it. I admit to being a litlle tempted. There were also some nice jewellery shops. They were DEAR!!

This small shop in Sankt Wolfgang allows the visitor to purchase items made from the salts quarried in the various caves and salt mines around the Salzkammergut region of Austria. The name afterall translates to "Salt Chamber Estates."
What to buy: Look for the bath salts which are supposed to have a special medicinal purpose for skin problems.
What to pay: About 20 Euros or a bit more.

There are various small shops along Pilgerstrasse (one of two main streets in St. Wolfgang). Be sure to check out all the fine handmade crafts, and the delicious baked goods. These shops cater heavily towards tourists. So expect a bit higher price than you would anticipate for things. But they're great quality items.
