Several hikes to suit all - flat ones around the lake whch is about 18km to complete the circuit or you could use the boats to hop on and off. Pathways just above the town give lovely views across the lake and are easily reached from the back of the town.

At St Gilgen the funicular will givve you a head start to higher paths.

The Schafberg can be ascended but be warned some paths are steep - one leading down from the summit station of the Schafberg is extremely steep anfd has iton rails to grip on to help you descend back down to St Wolfgang.

Hikiing and biking are two additional activities you can find to be very enjoyable here in Sankt Wolfgang. With so many fields and mountains, you're certainly to find a trail to suit all skill levels.

Equipment: Bikes can be rented in town (see website). A good pair of hiking shoes and some warm dry clothes is all you need if you plan to hike up to the Schafberg summit.

One of many things to do in Sankt Wolfgang are a variety of water sports. From water skiing, to swimming, wather sport enthusiasts are sure to have a great time here. Of course, this only applies during the warmer months of the year.
