Take cabin lift to Feuerkogel and walk to Alberfeldkogel, one hour. From there, nice view North on the Vordere Langbathsee (2 photos of this lake exist on VT, currently), Traunstein and Traunsee lake, Germany and Tzechia. Other panorama walks possible from the upper lift station, with views of Dachstein massive and Salzkammergut lakes.
This mountainous area is called "Höllengebirge" (Hell Mountains) and consists of chalkstone.
3 restaurant/snack/bars near the upper lift station.
On the Alberfeldkogel stands a huge cross, containing 27 boulders and stone blocks, one from the each of the current member countries of the European Union.

Short walk to a canyon with dead end at a high waterfall. First 5 minutes steep climbing, after a bridge, very narrow horizontal footpath where one should not meet too many other tourists. Dangerous route to take, but sooo beautiful!
Car park at access point, half way Unterach and Weissenbach. A bit East of the access point, larger parking at the lake side.

Favorite thing: The swans looked fantastic and very attracting.
