The area of the old town near the waterfall is the kind of place where tourists tend to walk in the middle of the street, but this is NOT a pedestrians-only area, so one may suddenly come face-to-face with a car or a bus.
By the way, the noise of the waterfall covers that of motors, which makes the approach of vehicles even more unexpected.
As soon as one gets acquainted with the town, it is easy to realize that this street cannot possibly be pedestrianized, because there are no other routes to connect parts of the town that are reached by this street. So it is important to remember not to walk in the middle, and to watch before crossing.

Almost all the marked paths have some Huette or Alm as destination or in the middle of the course. These places provide food, drinks and toilets, all things for a pause before going back or going on walking.
The problem is that we found some were closed when we arrived there. One had a sign that said - Closed for Holidays - one was being redone, so no food nor drink for us!
My advice is that in any case you put in your backpack at least a sandwich and a bottle of water, just in case!
P.S. The one in the picture is not one of those that we found closed.
