 | Oberndorf bei Salzburg Transportation | Tips 1 - 2 of 2 | | Popular Transportation | Miscellaneous Transportation Tips | All Tips (2) Of course it is easy and convenient to get to Oberndorf by car from Salzburg or other places closeby. Especially, when you like to do it in a daytrip combined with other destinations in the area like Burghausen (largest castle in Europe), Tittmoning , Fûcking etc. As soon as you are in Oberndorf, you simply have to watch out for "Bauernbrau" (see my 3rd picture!) in order to find the right place where to leave the mainroad through the town and take the side-street to Stille-Nacht-Platz. There you will find a large parking-area (free of charge, but restricted to 1,5 hours parking) Leave a Comment Theme: Car/Motor Home |
Salzburger Lokalbahn LB is the small side-trainline to Oberndorf, it starts at Salzburg Lokalbahnhof, a side-part of Hauptbahnhof and within 25 minutes you will get to Oberndorf easily and the train will take you to the centre of the village, maybe 300 meters to walk to the famous Stille-Nacht-chapel. S1 & S11 are the numbers of the trains and the stations are called : Salzburg Lokalbahn - Bergheim - Anthering - Oberndorf I dont know the price of the ticket, but it cant be much, in any case the ticket will be included in Interrail- Eurail and other pre-paid-traintickets for Austria ! -------------- Trains are leaving every full and half hour from Salzburg! and always at 20 and 50 min after the full hour from Oberndorf Leave a Comment |
