What to pack for Bundesland Salzburg

Miscellaneous: The Salzburgerlandkarte is a card that offers you free entrance (or a discount on the entrance fee) to 190 attractions all over Salzburgerland.

The card includes : museums, castles, mines, swimming pools and lakes, nature sights (waterfalls, gorges,...), sport facilities, mountain lifts, ...
It is also a 24-hour Salzburgcard : within 24 hours time most of the attractions in the city of Salzburg are included.

All of the attractions mentioned in the information brochure (or website) accept the card without a problem. We never had any troubles using the card.

We always buy the card and have never regretted it ! When you have the card, you automatically visit more then you normally would. We often go up in a mountain lift just to have lunch, because a lot of lifts are included. Or we pay a quick visit to a waterfall on our way back.
Of course it all depends on what you want to see/do/visit. On the website are the lists of all the attractions that accept the card. Here you can find the detailed information of what it normally costs and the info on your advantage with the SLC. If you doubt if you should buy it, you can have a look there and make a quick calculation.
You'll be saving money by buying it !

You can either buy a 6- or 12-day card.
Adults pay 46 € (6 day) or 55 € (12 day), children (6-15 y.) pay 23 or 27,50 €.
The card is free for the 3rd child or more in one family.
These prices are valid from may 1st until october 26th 2012.

There are some SLC-partners that charge an entrance fee for kids of 4 years and older.
