This is a concentration camp east of Salzburg about an hour or so. It was truly a moving experience. I later visited Auschwitz in Krakow, and can say that Mauthesen is somehow are more somber visit (if that is possible). I think the reason for this is that one walks through gas chambers and cremation rooms which gives me chills just thinking about it even though it was more than 10 years ago that we visited here.
