Best Indian restaurant in Salzburg.Among the best Indian food I've had outside India. The food is authentic Indian. Every item we ordered tasted amazing and genuine, unlike a lot of other restaurants. The location is a bit away from the town centre where all the tourists seemed to be eating, but this is definitely worth the extra walk. Highly recommended!

Favorite Dish: Lobster Curry

Went to a closer one this evening to Maharajah www.maharaja.at located at Ignaz-Harrer-Straße 9 5020 Salzburg 0662 433274. - AVOID this restaurant totally, lousy service, lousy food. At the end of dinner they say the VISA machine does not work, they will not tell us this at the begining (even when they know it). I am never going to to this restaurant. Writing this review so others can think before planning to visit this INDIAN restaurant. Totally IMPOLITE owner cum waiter cum everything.

best vegetarian food ever had. very good food quality and warm hospitality. i visited lot of indian restaurant in europe but tajmahal in salzburg is the one of the best indian restaurant.
if you are plannig to go to salzburg must visit TAJ MAHAL.

es war unsere aller bestes silvester essen.am 31. dezember haben wir im taj mahal einen tisch reserviert. ich habe das Tandoori chicken gegessene und meine ´Frau hat das menü mit lamm spiess und Bälchen aus Hühner fleisch gegessen und es war super lecker: es war unser schönstes abend . perfekte kuche, schnelle service und sehr sauberes restaurant, eine geniessbare Bollywood Musik

In diesem tollen Restaurant passt einfach alles: angefangen vom sehr sehr angenehmen Ambiente bis hin zum kulinarischen und servicetechnischen Verwöhntwerden bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Schön dass es das Taj Mahal in Salzburg gibt.

best food and super service ever had. 18th of august i visited taj mahal with my wife and 2 childrens.food was amazing. owner or manager was very freundly.
taj mahal is the only Indian Restaurant in Salzburg where you feel like at home

we visited 3 days in salzburg we are vegetarian that's why we need every lunch and dinner indian food. we visited all indian restaurant for a change but Taj mahal was the best. we had 4 meal in Taj Mahal every time was a Great experience. Food was authentic and perfect service. God bless you.
