The Hecherhütte is located up a track from the village of Viehhofen at 1250m above sea level. From the terrace there are wonderful views across the Glemmtal. You have to pre-reserve in the evening and there is no à la carte service - you choose from their list of set meals. For walkers you can come up early and have a swim in their heated outdoor swimming pool. There is a terrace and a bar area. The Hütte also sleeps up to 35 people. There is also a minibus service for getting you to and from the valley if you are without a car.

Favorite Dish: We had a meat fondue - served with fries and salad and a piece of homemade Apfelstrudel for dessert.
