The Pinzgaubahn is a narrow gauge railway running from Zell am See to Mittersill and Mittersill to Krimml. Trains run every other hour and there are also bus services between the trains. In summer there are some steam trains put on as a special attraction. The single journey between Zell am See and Mittersill takes just under an hour and Mittersill to Krimml takes another 40 minutes on the connecting service. Tickets can be bought at the station - they use the same regional kilometer charges as other ÖBB services.

Trips to other places
Zell am see does have it's own railway station but you have to go via Salzburg to get anywhere else, which, adds time. However if you are planning a trip to this lovely town anc need public transport then let the train take the strain.
Boating on Zeller See (lake)
Boating and yachting are good ways to explore the Zeller See, and you can see many boats and yacht sailings along the lake.
