There are several railway tracks next to each other running across Zell Am See, seperating the town and train station from the Zeller See lake area. There are many crossings for people to travel across, do be careful especially when trains are coming (which is quite frequent). When a train is approaching, the gates will lower and do not try to run across as it is very dangerous. The wait will not be very long, so be patient. Another than this danger, Zell Am See is a very safe town.

Although the weather is sunny and nice when you start off, it may suddenly change! Luckily, we were on the top at Schmittenhöhe when we were surprised by thunder and lightning. It came out of nowhere, so it's important to take precautions. Bring enough clothes!

Watch out for the delicious cakes !!!!
They have a mind of their own & are very crafty.
They are waiting to ambush you in all the hotels & cafe`s, once they have you in their vision, they hypnotize you..."eat me, eat me, eat me.......".
They when you fly home, you wonder why the seats in the plane are smaller !!!!!
Seriously, do make sure you try the coffee & cake while you are there.
