The wellness comlex offers a large grass area for sunbathers, canopies and hammocks under palm trees, an encounter with the summer. I saw various photos taken in winter time, and well, it looks equally charming, or even more on a way. So I think this magical place is well worth a visit just anytime.
The sauna area includes Finnish sauna, Turkish steam bath, Roman sweat room, Bio- and herb sanarium, Aroma chamber with Aquaviva, Infrared cabin, jet pool, cold water pool and 800 m2 large open air nudist sunbathing island. Relaxation area has hidden places and resting oases for meditation that let you escape into a different world. Besides, Rogner Bad Blumau has 40 ha of intact nature with various paths and gardens.
Health centre offers classic and Far East treatments for well-being. They offer superb beauty treatments, massages, soothing baths and incense burning rituals. A professional sports and fitness programme provides visitors with the greatest variety of sport and leisure activities and five attractive golf courses are in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

Bad Blumau is the most famous of Austria's thermal spas, where ground-breaking architecture in primary colours and dream-like shapes form a stunning scenery to a linked network of pools. The central part is the unique hot springs and sauna area with 2.724 m2 of water.
Comfortably warm indoor and outdoor spa pools from two completely different sources, Vulkania - the green lagoon, and Melchior - the blue lagoon, make you forget the stressful world outside and create a new feeling of life and well-being. You can also cool down in the fresh water of the wave pool.
Vulkania rises from a depth of 2.843 m. The waters, which feel like silk, have the highest mineral content in the Styrian spa region. Vulkania curative spring is of volcanic origin. Collected in the Vulkania curative lake, the water is genuine and powerful, with the warmest bathing temperature out in the open. Its water is the base element in all body treatments as it has extraordinary healing power and quality. Definitely my favourite!

Once you've pampered yourself head to toe, head to their restaurant for indulgence of a different kind. The chef's team at Rogner Bad Blumau have thought a lot about the origins of their ingredients. In order to be able to offer top quality to the guests, great importance is attached to cooking with local ingredients which nature offers in their purest form.
Guests can enjoy best quality in a choice of restaurants ranging from buffet restaurant LebensFroh & RundHerum offering breakfast and dinner buffet (with national and international dishes as well as delicious Styrian specialities) to gourment restaurant GenussReich which serves a la carte culinary delights with selected ingredients. As we were celebrating my birthday and wanted to be something special, we chosen the latter. A table by the window that offered the lovely view of a little pond with lotus flowers and ducks certainly added to the ambience. The waitress was knowladgeable about the dishes and the wine, she was nice and helpful. And the culinary journey has started.
Favorite Dish: After going through the menu several times, we finally decided. The funny thing was that we ended up choosing the same dishes. We had salmon carrpacchio with rucola (rocket) for starter. While still eating, the waitress brought us tasty truffle & celery soup - present from the chef :) For the main dish we had scallops with lime rice. The scallops were properly tender and... ahh, really delicious!!
We ordered two different deserts, one was chocolate with lavendel mousse and another with two kinds of chocolates. I can't recall to memory what the names were but can remember very well that they were very enjoyable :) We toasted with a glass of sparkling wine and had white wine the rest of the evening: a bottle of sauvignon blanc and another of pinot blanc, both from Adam Liele.
All the dishes were absolutely delicious and I could easily say that this was one of the best dinners I had.
