In the forests around Weissenbach you find all sorts of berrys,mushrooms.It is allowed to collect mushrooms for yourself.But the amount is limited to 2kg per person.

If you walk to the waterfall at the beginning of the Mountains you have a very good chance to see chamois.Specially at wintertime when these animals come down from the mountains to find food.It is a very lovely walk to this place and almost everytime I take this walk I find the animals.

There are lots of deers in the forests around town.The local ranger is a schoolmate of me and one day he invited me to watch the feeding of the deers.During wintertime and early spring they get feeded by him and than getting released again.The area they are in is a hughe forest and you never know how many you will see.It was a wonderful experience to see this mighty animals so close.

Weissenbach has a 18hole golfcourse.Other than in America,U.K,Australia or Scandinavia it is something special to play Golf in Austria.The golfcourse in Weissenbach is surrounded by breathtaking nature.

Favorite thing: on the northend of town you can walk through forests to the waterfall/walls of the mountains.It is nice,easy walk and in summertime you find waterfalls at the end of the way.
