It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the crowd of locals told me that this was the place to eat dinner. I wasn't wrong...A great place to sample authentic local cuisine served by charming locals.

The Zugspitzbahn in Ehrwald is still not working due to a fire that happened in February. It's no problem because you can drive or hike the 20km to Grainau and take either the cogwheel train or the cable car.
No word on when it will be working again.

The easy way to the lake Seebensee via the Ehrwalder Alm.
The challenging and direct route via Hoher Gang.
1.5 - 2.5 hours.
Beautiful scenery, great view at the Zugspitze.
Nice hut with great food served at the Coburger Hütte.

From town, head up to the Almbahn, continue up for a fantastic workout and some beautiful scenery, there are small farms and grazing cows, streams, beautiful flowers and towering mountains along the way.
Be careful on the way down, the grade is 15% in some points...
