Our hotel did have entertainment most nights but we preferred just having a quiet stroll through the village finishing off with a night cap back at the Husky bar to catch up on the days happenings with our fellow guests. We arrived back while the Quiz Night had already started but only just. We joined forces with a nice couple from Birmingham - a lot of happy banter went on between the opposition with Helen the peacemaker and question master trying very hard to award half points for not quite correct answers. The outcome of the great brain drain was our team won = but we shared the spoils of a bottle of Champers with the good people of Liverpool = Thanks Lynne and Mandy you were great sports.

Dress Code: Dress as you please = people are interested in you the person not what you wear!

Ellmau comes alive on Tuesday nights when the village holds it Sommernacht event. All the little streets become traffic free except for the little tractors with trailers which ferry the children around to their great delight. Here there is a market style atmosphere with local folk singers to entertain you and local produce for sale from the farmers around the area. The shops stay open late too so you can buy some last minute presents. Sommernachts are held in the village from June through to September a pleasant way to spend an evening popular with locals and tourists.

Dress Code: No one will mind what you wear the village is very laid back and casual just come as you are
