Just near the church you will find a path with some indications to start excursions from there. But if you only want a place to admire the town and the greenest earth, you only need 5-10 minutes from the town.

    Hike to Schleier waterfall

    view from the hike

This is an enjoyable hike as there is a variety of views - waterfalls, alpine pastures and woodland. We set off from the village centre in Going in the direction of the bathing lake and on to the higher lying farms. From here the track gently climbs through cool woodland to Graspoint Niederalm (1,075 m). Walking time approx. 1 1/2 hours. Through pastures and forest, the trail continues in the direction of the Schleier waterfall - Walking time approx. 3/4 hour.
Near here there is a free-climbiing garden and we spent a while just watching the climbers. Crystal clear drinking water spurts from the rocks at the Schleier waterfall so you can also quench your thirst.
Carrying on our hike in the direction of Stiegenbach to Regalm (1,313 m), walking time approx. 1 hour. Here we enjoyed the panorama of the Kitzb?hel Alps.

a woodland path and the Wilder Kaiser

The return route from the waterfall took us along forest paths to the Tannbichl chapel, and then on to the district of Schwendt and back again to Going. Even the views in the woods were amazing.
