At the opposite part of the town square, is the Gasthouse “The Golden Lion” with the excellent local restaurant and http://www.dianabar.at/. Don’t hesitate to take a look at their homepage – it has been created with lot of taste and love. Unfortunately for what I can see it’s only in german, so I would like to translate the opening words for you…

A pretty normal Austrian restaurant with great food for very reasonable prices and a friendly atmosphere.
Favorite Dish: The Wiener Schnitzel with chips and cranberries I got here hardly fit on the plate and it was a taste sensation!

One of those great Austrian guesthouses. Inside of the "Black Eagle" you will find a huge room in a traditional style.... The food has been really good in here......
Favorite Dish: I had "Käsespätzle", homemade noodles with cheese........It´s a traditional dish in this area.... A salad from the huge salad buffet was included. All was very tasty and the portions have been big!

Innsbruck's nice underrated neighbour
Only few of the tourists who visit Innsbuck for its nice old city find their way to the nearby Hall which is larger and at least as attractive as the old city of Innsbruck - and far less touristy.
We've been to beautiful Hall in Tirol on a day trip from Innsbruck. Everybody told me that it's a really nice place so of course I had to go and see myself.
