The facial contortions are the first thing you notice ...
Let's begin by going over some of the consonant and vowel sounds combined to create the language of yodel. Try this with higher notes also moving toward the natural break from your chest voice to your head voice....

When I had a walking first day in the city I was struck when I saw the landing plane just above my head. But I was in the cwnter of the old town, near of Geolden Dachl!! .The secret is the local airport is very close to the city because the mountains are everywhere. It's wonderful how the people of Innsbruck celebrate their new year's eve. There's a big party on the streets of the old town. At midnight there is a big firework display at the river - along with music especially composed for this event. Afterwards the people are waltzing in the street. A very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. I can really recommend this place for new year's! Leave a Comment

Everywhere you look you can see history. Like on this sign for instance, indicating that the building is from 1631. This is one of the many hanging signs in the Altstadt. I really enjoyed looking at all of them. They are so beautiful made.

There are a lot figures above entrance to the shops in the old town. I'm not sure thy were here in previous time and, in my opinion, they appeared just for tourists coming. In any way, some of figures are really nice. Leave a Comment

In the beginning of the new year the 4 Schanzen Tournee of the skijumpers takes place in Germany (Obersdorf, garmisch) and Austria (Innsbruck, Bischofshofen). I would like to go there and watch that championship! Leave a Comment

I am not used to drinking carbonated water, but it's a very big thing in Europe I guess.
So if you don't want to end up with seltzer-type water, ask for "water without gas"...otherwise if you just ask for water, you will get bubbles.
in the grocery stores, you have to look carefully to notice if you are buying bubbled water. Leave a Comment

I was surprised how friendly everybody in Innsbruck was, no matter where. Staff in restaurants and in the hotel, people you met in the streets... everybody was just friendly. I loved it. Leave a Comment
