    Tyrolean evening

While we were in the Tourist information centre, we booked for a Tyrolean evening. We didn't go on a tour, but on our own.
When we arrived at the establishment, the parking area was full of coaches and there wasn't any room for cars, so we parked in the street. It seems most people came as a tour group.

The show is held in the evening. You can have dinner & show or show and 1 drink, which is what we booked. I have listed what the show includes and can tell you we really enjoyed it.

    PROGRAMME:
    Music
    Schuhplattler – „Reith im Winkel“ (folk-dance)
    Yodel-song
    Tyrolean figure-dance

As I was saying, we followed the sounds of the music into the park. Where we came upon a small bandstand in which there were about 12 - 15 people playing.

I swear one of the songs they played was the tune to the Harry Potter films!

If you are a music fan, don't forget to drop into a music store and buy some CD's you won't find back home. I am a pop music fan, so when in Austria I picked up two CD's. One by a female artist: KOSHEEN and one by a group called BRO'SIS. Perhaps an Austrian can tell me if they are still popular?

It was just a delicious feeling, sitting in the midday sun listening to the band performing.

When they finished playing, they were off to the beer garden. Excellent!
