    Pack of Tissues!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: During the winters, temperature can fall down to -10 at nights. So carry a lot of warm clothes. Gloves and a cap can always be purchased at the local markets. Carry a good pair of shoes..preferably leather as you can slip on ice with the regular keds.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Gets pretty cold in the night..temperature can fall upto -15 sometimes..wise to cover yourself completely including your ears and fingers..and always keep a pack full of tissues in your pockets..your nose keeps running due to the cold!

Photo Equipment: Lots of rolls or your digi cam!

    Snow Gear

    by mcsmiles77 Written Jun 12, 2003

Luggage and bags: It's advisable to pack your snowboard or skiis in an appropriate bag...
for snowboarders..look for the snowboarding bag with the wheels on them (daKine makes them for around $150)

    Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: thermals.
knit hats (colorful ones for the mountain)
    lots of thick socks

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: out inn had a combination of shampoo and soap...so you may want to bring shampoo and conditioner with you.

Photo Equipment: lots of extra film, and camera batteries or charger

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: ski mask, or something to prevent windburn, at least when you are on the lifts.

    Miscellaneous: *electrical outlet adapter
*my friends brought walkie talkies, so on the mountains we could find one another
*maps of the mountains you may want to ride
    *bottled water

    Snow at Ambras Castle

    Luggage and bags:
Be prepared for all types of weather, specially in March!!! All the time I was in Innsbruck I heard what the weather was like a week ago... so wonderful, with 20 degrees and sunshine! Arrrrghhhh, that doesn't help me!!! It was snowing while I was there and freezing cold, brrrr. Look at the picture and see how it was snowing while we are visiting Ambras Castle.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: It depends on the weather. Anyway, you should have warm clothes, water proof jacket, hiking shoes, hat, scarf, gloves, hiking sticks, sunglasses...etc.

Miscellaneous: If it rains, you better have dry socks and clothes with you. Chocolates and water are important for the whole trip.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: If you visit Innsbruck when I did, mid-March, be prepared for anything. Wear plenty of layers since it WILL be cold, and take an umbrella. Our weather varied from rain to snow--we varied from wet to wetter.
