Cafe Sacher was the favorite cafe of the emperor and mine as well, and so it was built just behind the Hofburg of Innsbruck with a garden-cafe in the innercourt of the Hofburg that you may see on my picture !
This cafe and restaurant is open daily 08.30a.m. - midnight
warm meals available all day long untill 11.30p.m.
Favorite Dish: Sacher Torte and Sacher Kaffee are my favorites, but they also have a large choice of other cakes and fine deserts.

Fancy decor, note that the entrance is a side door located under an archway
Favorite Dish: went here to try the 'famous' Sachertorte. A dessert using butter, chocolate, eggs and apricot jam. It is served with unsweetened whipped cream. Best eaten with a coffee drink. I was a little hesitant to go to this cafe. It looks very fancy and I wear jeans, hiking boots, etc. Finally stopped in though, and even though I felt out of place it was worth the discomfort, for the torte was delicious! ,the coffee, standard. Price: about 8 euros: torte and coffee
