The restaurants scattered throughout St Johann were very good. Some had music playing during the lunch hours and the bar on the top was always pretty active. There is also a bar at the bottom of the slope which is a great place to relax at the end of the ski day.

The slope at St Johann has bus routes running to and from Kirchdorf, so it was easy to get to and from the hotel Alphof. It also looked like the town around the slope would be a fun place to stay.

The slopes seemed to handle the crowds a little worse then Steinplatte, but the runs themselves were a little more enjoyable. They had more defined runs, but also had some narrow sections on each run, that got somewhat difficult in more crowded conditions. We enjoyed St Johann a lot on non-crowded days, but tended to stay away on days that were going to have large crowds.
