A little village (St.Nikolaus from the 15.century) on a beautyfull lake, 5 buses per day from Kufstein train station, it´s also possible to walk there from Kufstein or Schaftenau (train station), about 8 km, or a bit longer via Hechtsee.

This impressive building in the very centre of Kufstein looks like a castle, but in fact it is just the biggest local Bank, the Sparkasse Kufstein that was founded in 1877.
The building was built between 1906 and 1907 using many art-nouveau-elements in the facade and some great relief on both sides of the main entrance-gate, see them in my last 2 photos here.

Madersperger Museum of sewing machines is a small museum with free entry built inside the house, where Josef Madersperger was born in October 6th, 1786. He is the inventor of the modern sewing-machines, dating back to the year 1814. The modern sewingmachines have different inventors, but one of Maderspergers Ideas is still be used nowadays: it was him who had the idea of putting the eye of the needle not on top but at the other side of the needle. In the Technical museum of Vienna you can see the 1st real sewingmachine built by J. Madersperger.
There is a slide-show and a lot of different sewingmachines, some of them fixed upside down like you can see them in my photos.
This museum is open daily from 10.00am till 05.00pm
no entrancefee, but donations are welcome !

With the beautiful ridge of the Wilder Kaiser on the back ,The Antonius chapel is acessed by a walking route going in the Kaiser Valley, About an hour walking distance from the start of the trail at the end of Kufstein. You can see the chapel on numerous poscards of the region, but it's always better to go see it for yourself.

The tree king or Ent ( as they were called in "Lord of the rings" ) was standing at the side of the road ,watching over the pedestrians. Isn't he just impressive , with his old hands raised to reach the sky. He even has a mouth ,but you gotta look carefully as the pic is sombre. He is dressed with moss ,to keep him warm during winter :)))

Not really a cave in the proper sense of the word ,or at least not the way I imagined it , the Tishofer Cave is located in the steep rocky wall over the river ( see the second pic ) , and is acessed by a weaving narrow trail. Rather a cavity than a cave , the place is round and spacious and there are no hidden galleries on the back. It reminds me more of a huge amphitheater. There are no stalactites or stalacmites ,but you can set a fire or spend the night - there are enough options for that.
